12/3/15

She was up when I went to wake her at 8AM. I went to play tennis, leaving out meds, baked beans and gatorade.

Came home to breakfast eaten, Chemistry almost done and some other school work accomplished. Woo hoo!

11AM she had to lie down. Light headed

She takes a long time in the bathroom- 30-40 minutes. I think the enclosed space is inviting sometimes.

Dropped off the saxophone for a tune up before driving to Chiropractor.Very positive chiro visit. Immediate relief of back and pelvic pain.

Had to lie down when we got home at 4:10. Friend visit at about 5PM- very positive. Friend asked if Bec will go back to school this year. Bec said she thinks so. positive attitude.

Friend leaves, Bec has dinner- ham and green beans. Fun discussion at table. Lots of laughs.

Had to lie down after dinner. Played sax for 10-15 min 7:15. Wiped her out.

Bed by 8:30

Pretty good day
- no vomiting!

POTS Around Thanksgiving 2015

11/24 Tuesday started in fetal psn. by 10:00 was doing school work.

11/25 Wednesday started ok. started crashing on the way into Dr. Woods ofc. Couldn't go on at elevator. Nurse got wheelchair. Hard to stay alert at Dr. Woods. Tried on G- Suit. Major improvement!

11/26 Thursday started agitated and vomiting. 11 AM decided (!) to be functional. Helped with food prep, mostly sitting. Watched Julius Caesar with subtitles. Decorated outdoor tree.Wore G-Suit major improvement

11/27 Friday Started out nervous, turned out to be a Great Day. Thanksgiving - all siblings were here. Even played games. Up until 11. Vomited once. Wore G-Suit- major improvement

11/28 Saturday not as good as Friday, but OK. Walked dogs with Dad. Some vomiting. Wore G-suit- started to leak.

Sunday 11/29 Bad day. vomited 20-30 times. Laid down all day. Finished Julius Caesar movie.

11/30 Monday Ordered a new G- suit (actually 2). Woke up miserable.

12/1/15 Tuesday Today was a pretty good day. She woke up late- 9:00. I ran to the store at 9:20 to get baked beans (plenty of sodium), priority mail a check to pay for  new g-suit,  and pick up a prescription. That's when I remembered the furnace guy was coming at 10 so I had to rush. When I got home she was writing thank you notes at the kitchen table. I wanted her to be doing school work, but how do you tell a teenager to stop writing thank yous? You don't. Especially when she is writing encouraging words to people who have been welcoming to her, who have caught her in a faint, who have encouraged her.

12/2/15 Wed
up at 5:30, breakfast then Mass at 7:30. Halfway thru Mass, had to stay seated. Bec wanted to go to Brueggers with LT folks. Did fine, hung on while walking in and out. Studie note cards, rested until 10:30, went to gym. Bike 30 min. Very wobbly from bike to shower. Couldn't stand for shower so we left. Picked up 2 burgers (no bun), feet up in car. Wobbly on the way into Children's, got wheelchair. Chair helped conserve energy for Dr, Woods appt,

Still needed chair on the way out. Excited to come home, possible friend visit, rest for 4PM Math teacher. Teacher visit very positive. Finished quiz. set up on line Math. Rested. Friend visit- talked, watched TV. Dinner at table. rest, tv, drink. Melatonin, bed by 9:30.
